Our Technolgy staff consists of Belinda Murrath - Technology Coordinator, Lisa Harward - Technical Support Technician, and Shaune Knowlton - Lab Manager.   Each grade level has at least one member that serves on our Technology Committee.  This committee meets monthly and makes descisions in the areas of our technology. 

   DES has a multitude of technological opportunities to help support the AKS, such as computers, scanners, digital cameras, interactive white boards and student response systems.  We have a total of 5 standard IBM labs, including the Media Center and 1 wireless lab that is available for any staff member to check out.  All computers are fully networked to the Internet and to the GCPS network, all with access to a printer.

   Every classroom has both a a networked student computer, a shared printer and a networked laptop for teacher use.  These computers allow access to the Internet as well as a multitude of instructional software, including our online Media Center catalog.  Teachers also have access to email, which makes communication between home and school even more accessible.
