2013-2014 Kindergarten Registration Steps

STEP 1:  Complete this required 2013-2014 Online Kindergarten Registration Form for each student you are registering for Kindergarten.  Kindergarteners must be 5 years old by Sept. 1st.  Please Note: This DOES NOT complete the registration process. Continue with the steps below.

STEP 2: 
Please be aware that your child will not be entered into our student database and assigned a teacher until ALL required documents are received. Please make copies ahead of time, if possible.

For Kindergarten only:  Bring in
this required documentation and your Kindergartener on May 2 between 12PM- 6PM. You will also need to complete and turn in this form:
Occupational Survey Spanish/English

 

STEP 3:  If you would like information about our school nutrition program, please click here (this document contains pricing from the 2012-2013 school year)

A. For Kindergarten only: If you already have older siblings at Dacula Elementary receiving free or reduced lunch, please complete this form click here for English form  or click here for Spanish form to temporarily add the kindergarten student.

B. Brand new families to Dacula Elementary with NO siblings already here can complete free and reduced lunch applications by
clicking this link.

STEP 4: Attend Kindergarten Registration Day on Thursday,                    May 2 between 12PM-6PM in the Dacula Elementary Media Center. On May 2, you will provide all documents necessary to register your child, the documents will be verified by school personnel and your child will be screened.  Please have all documents copied, if possible.  Click Here to view a complete list of required documents.

NEW TO GWINNETT COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:

  • PROOF OF RESIDENCY  (IN ATTENDANCE ZONE)
  • COPY OF PARENT ID (OR PROOF OF LEGAL GUARDIAN)
  • IMMUNIZATION / VISION, HEARING AND DENTAL RECORDS
  • PROOF OF AGE (BIRTH CERTIFICATE)
  • SOCIAL SECURITY CARD (UNLESS YOU SIGNED WAIVER ON ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM) 
  • PREVIOUS SCHOOL RECORDS (IF AVAILABLE)

NEW AND RETURNING PLEASE READ:

Please click on the link below to download an Alternate Transportation Form (if needed).  You ONLY need this form if your child goes to another location other than home all 5 days a week. If your child goes to another location other than home, 4 or less days a week you will need to write a note each day. Please bring this completed form to the Dacula Elementary front office when you register a new student or  if the student is a returning student we will need this form by end of June each year.  We need it in June so that the alternate address will be printed on the students transportation tag.  This form must be filled out yearly (if applies).
